What should I expect during a class?

Classes normally begin with a warm up.  This may involve some light exercises followed by stretching.  Students are encouraged to do some of their own warm up and stretching before a class starts.

There is a technical part of the class which involves core techniques demonstrated by the instructor.  Every student will participate in this part of the class, with the techniques modified/replaced according to their ranking.  Some partner training will also undertaken to understand the techniques more thoroughly.

There is generally a few minutes break for all students to recover and take on board some fluids.

After the break, student will practice compulsory 1-Step Sparring techniques and Poomse (patterns) appropriate to their ranking.  Some free sparring and self defence techniques will follow.

Towards the end of the class there may be a physical conditioning period where students compete against each other.

Finally, students will do some cooling down stretches.

Our classes are fun and dynamic.  All instructors will guide new students into the curiculum and the senior ranked students are always willing to help.
