First 30 Years
The Australian Hwa Rang Taekwondo Academy's 30th Year Anniversary
2005 marked a momentous milestone in the history of Master Kim and Hwarangdo in Australia.
In 2005 Master Kim and Hwarangdo celebrates it's 30th year of training.
To celebrate this achievement, a group of Master Kim's senior students organised a suprise anniversary dinner. The event brought together a mixture of some of Master Kim's original students, his closest intructors, senior blackbelts, family and friends.
The event was a very welcomed suprised for Master Kim and was enjoyed by all.
Below is a video that highlights some of the earliest Hwarangdo training at Cooks Hill, Newcastle, NSW from 1976.
A DVD of the night was produced, including the following video which shows highlights from the first 30 years.
