Grading Report – Third Quarter 2011

Grandmaster Kim was very pleased with the grading performance by all students this third quarter.

Here are some experiences by some students.

A big ‘Thank You’ to all the parents, kids and students who attended the recent grading in Fairfield on the 22nd September.

We had a varied mix of junior and senior students grading from both the Greenfield Park and Fairfield club, and was great to see so much enthusiasm and effort put into grading from everyone. The highlight for me was seeing more females training hard to aim for the next belt up. Good job! I can’t wait to see more female black belts in class.

The most impressive part though, was seeing how much everyone had improved over the short 3 months since the previous grading - clearly everyone has been working hard on their techniques, mentality and physical conditioning. So on behalf of Master Kim and the other instructors, I’d like to say ‘Congratulations!’ to those who have trained hard to earn their new belt or stripe!

Keep training hard everyone, I can’t wait to see you all bust out at the next grading in December. Hopefully we’ll have some new black belt certificates to give out.

As we all know for the people that have all graded, it was a day that we get all nervous. When I first entered the hall I could see everybody revising their pattern but most of all people asking "What's my pattern" and whatnot :):)

Every time before we grade there are awesome black belts that run through our pattern and one step. From then on, we sit down and wait for our names to be called out. The time was now.

My name was called out and I could feel my heart beat. So I decided to pretend it was like a normal Tkd lesson but worst :S We all line up in front of the black belts and Master Kim where they are all staring at you. Its freaky. We go through all our grading kicks but in my head I go, "Was this right" Awkkss. The best part of grading was the pattern but the greatest of all was the one-step. This was a time to throw my friend (Alex) on the ground. This was extremely tiring especially when you have to lift him up :L ( HE'S BIG )... After all the fun we had on one-step it was time for free sparing when Alex again. This was also fun but yet again extremely tiring. But yet the best part of free-sparring was when I accidently kicked Alex in the nuts :):) (Soz) Then it was the end of our grading.

I was satisfied with my performance and also good luck for next grading peoples!
